Role Definition

I&V engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of our product, RNC/Node B/LTE software, and securing test method and test environment to fulfill all the assigned test activities within approved cost, time and quality frame. Test scope covers integration test, regression test, feature test, negative test, robustness test, stability test, characteristic test, load test, outdoor test and customer site support.

Main responsibility

Review system design documents.Give comments to system design based on understanding of 3GPP standard and testability.

Define test strategy, design test specification and test cased based on system design document.

Co figurate test environment. Including connecting test nodes (CN,RNC,NodeB,LTE,UE etc.) and test instruments (signaling analyzer, simulators etc.), software upgrading, parameter setting and so on.

Follow test specifications to run test cases and report test result. Operate test instruments and collect logs. For example: co figurate protocol stack, setup test model of test UE, enable system trace ports. Analyze the test log and summarize test report.

Develop and maintain test script like perl, Erlang, TTCN, VB(excel).

Improve test efficiency and effectiveness by automation and other means.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or above, major in communication engineering or correlative

Good knowledge of wireless communication system

In depth understanding and experience of integration and verification

Skilled in one programming language: Perl, java, C++ , TTCN or Erlang

Familiar with Unix or Linux environment

Basic knowledge of TCP/IP

Familiar with telecommunication standard and message flow

Personal Skills

. Good English (both in written and verbal);

. Good communication skills, with logical way of thinking;

. Positive Attitude, Open minded and be able to work in an extremely fast pace, high-pressure environment;
